Bloomfield Track 4WD Adventure
Take the journey that most only dream about Travel up close in a 4 wheel drive through the oldest living rainforest in the world, which is home to the most diverse fauna and flora in Australia.
The Bloomfield Track was completed in 1984, connecting Cape Tribulation to Cooktown.
Departing Cairns and heading north along one of the most scenic roads in Australia the Captain Cook Highway we head straight for the Daintree River.
From here we’ll drive the vehicle onto the Daintree River Ferry, where the beautiful Daintree Rainforest awaits on the other side. As we slowly make our way to Cape Tribulation along a winding road stopping at every opportunity to take memorable photos and soak up the beauty.
Enjoy a relaxing walk along Cape Tribulation beach and a memorable walk along the board-walk through the world heritage rainforest.
Departing Cape Tribulation we head along the Bloomfield Track, enduring steep climbs, creek crossings, secluded beaches and spectacular views.
This will bring us to the aboriginal community of Wujal Wujal – where we’ll get to experience the breathtaking view of the Wujal Wujal falls while you enjoy a BBQ lunch.
The road is sealed form Wujal Wujal to Cooktown, passing through small villages of Helensville, Ayton, and Rossville.
The famous and historic Lion’s Den is located 42 km along the Bloomfield Track from Wujal Wujal and is an excellent place to enjoy a nice cold drink and cool off in the Anna River.
The adventure packed day will finish as we head back to Cairns enjoying locally made ice cream.
Bloomfield Track is tailored to you on the day, there can be subject to changes if you want to stop, walk, swim or enjoy a moment a bit longer along the way.
